File this next segment under – What Americans Got Stuck Inside them and had to go to hospital to get removed – Year in Review.
We do like to start each show off with a weird, wacky and wonderful news story and this is most certainly just that – or at least the first two, weird and wacky, I guess it could be wonderful in a way that there is a happy ending to the story, being that the things that people got stuck in themselves in 2022 got removed.
Let me explain;
Throughout the year reports from hospitals are made and then sent to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission to create a database of emergency room visits, that detail objects that people get stuck inside them, from ears to noses, to throats to peoples, neither regions, and if you are a regular listen to the show, a couple weeks ago we did a story on a French man who had to go to the ER to get a bomb removed from his butt – I can’t believe I am about to say this, but thankfully no one in the US had that problem, well, that we know of.
So let’s do it, let’s find out what Americans put got stuck inside themselves in 2022.
Starting with the Ear
Phone Charger – Maybe they got sick of their morning coffee to recharge for the day so they thought they might be iPhone adaptable!
Two ear bud, in the same ear – clearly got one stuck and then tried to use a second to get it out, which resulted in two getting stuck… I see the failed logic of that!
What about the Nose.
Nothing majorly exciting, a lot of dumb stuff like a used match, lots of different types of lollies, or as the Americans call it, candy, from candy hearts to tic tacks, gummy worms and food like rice, and popcorn kernels and orange peels and cheese.
The weirdest things people got stuck in their nose, glue, LED lights, Diesel Fuel and magnets.
What about the throat, we deliberately put a lot of things into our mouths, you know to eat, so it’s unavoidable that we’re going to get some stuff stuck in our throats, so aside from the usual food items, other items that Americans got stuck down the gob in 2022 include:
A sim card, a small flash light, a glue stick, a video game controller, a small key to a diary – there is a story behind that one!
They also got some pretty dumb stuff, and sharp things stuck down their throats like darts, needles and a steak knife! Oh I want to know that story!
Let’s delicately navigate the nether regions of both men and women – as one should always, and we look at the things men, in 2022, got stuck in their “eggplants” (that’s code you know for the man bit):
A car key, A wooden spoon, a seven-inch silicon tube – I am going to pause here for a second to let you visualise that for a second.
There was also a USB cord, a piece of soap and a paper clip. No comment necessary
As for the women getting things stick inside their nether regions;
A spatula – no women, cooking or kitchen jokes please.
Coins, Golf Balls (again no jokes) a drumstick, nail polish, soap bars
and a screw… oh the temptation to make a really easy a cheap joke about that, breath.
And for the other side of the neither region for both men and women, people across the US in 2022 were reported to have had the following stuck inside them which resulted in a trip to the ER for removal included everything from Monopoly pieces to ice cream cones to broom handles, perfume bottles, glass bottles deflated balloons, spoons , action figures and a variety of other toys too.
The moral of the story here… I actually don’t think there is one, human curiosity and stupidity really go hand in hand when it comes to sticking things in places they don’t belong and without these stupid and curious people, we wouldn’t have content for the show.
Of course, I have to say this, even though for those with actual common sense do not need to be told this, but… don’t try any of this at home or anywhere really, just don’t stick things inside you that are not meant to go there!
