There was no collecting $200 for one Oklahoma man who went directly to jail after firing a gun at his family members during a game of Monopoly Saturday.
John Ronald Dewayne Armstrong was arrested in Tulsa, Oklahoma, after a round of the game erupted into an argument, with a table and the game’s board being flipped in the process before he allegedly chased his stepsister and stepfather down the street while pointing his gun at them.
Officers with the Tulsa Police Department were called to a home near East Admiral Place and North Mingo Road around 6.30pm for reports of shots fired.
When police arrived, they immediately took Armstrong into custody.
Investigators learned the family had been drinking alcohol and playing Monopoly when a fight broke
Allegedly, the man pulled the gun on his stepfather after getting cut in the head, when the Monopoly board was flipped. Officers did not find the gun, saying they believe Armstrong hid it in the house before surrendering.
Not that anyone in my family is a gun touting loose cannon… but in case, I will not be suggesting Monopoly this year for family time after lunch…. oh boy!
